Exodus 13
There seems to be a lot of references to the idea of redemption or buying back one's life. Of course we can point to the example of Jesus and how we deserve death but receive salvation through Him. It also comes up in the story of the passover and how the firstborn of the Israelites was spared from death. In chapter 13, it talks about how because the firstborn was spared from death his/it's life was now supposed to be sacrificed to God. How is my life a living sacrifice to God taken into factor how Jesus paid the price of death that I deserved?
