Revelation 2-3

At my girlfriend's fellowship, we're going through Ann Graham Lotz' Vision of His Glory Bible study based on Revelation. At first, I was surprised because Revelation is a pretty tricky book to understand as it's chock full of metaphors -- and there are seemingly many ways to interpret them. Nonetheless, it's been a good study hearing what the spirit has been impressing on other people's hearts and minds.

----------------

hopefully this will be somewhat coherent for 6am (at night! :)

In these 2 chapters 2-3 there are a few calls for repentance: the church at Ephesus, Pergamum, and of the false prophetess Jezebel. It mentions that God had given Jezebel time to repent, but that she was unwilling. Sometimes that's me I feel --- I know what God wants, but i'm too weak too proud too dumb to repent. It's sobering to realize that she had time to repent, but did not take advantage of it. I think I take my salvation for granted and act as if I have all the time in the world to repent -- but that's not true. God's consequences and God's wrath happen in real time, people. I need to change now.
