the fellowship of the believers
Acts 2:42-47
a good look at true christian fellowship. I have it, but honestly... i can't say i've really had it at/in church. I say this because even now, there are still many many faces that i do not know at my church: the only time i see/saw these people is on sunday morning or at the friday night fellowhip group(when i attended back in college). Apart from that, there is no other contact or interaction with these fellow christians any other time in the week in or outside of church. I'm not invested or involved in any of these nameless faces(or faceless names)outside these specific times. We don't break bread together, we don't pray for each other... we don't even know each other enough to know what the other needs prayer for. We just come to church, listen to the message, and go back to our own private lives. Thats not fellowship, that's just meeting together at an appointed time and place... a program. like going to the dentist or to a class or AA.
So the real question is, are the people at church not making enough of an effort? Or is it I, who is not making enough of an effort at church...
