Joshua 23
This chapter is Joshua's farewell speech to the leaders of Israel... it's interesting to note that even as he was dying, his thoughts were of the people and his concern for them. He asks them to continue following God and obeying Him... while warning them of the consequences of ignoring him.
My favorite part: "One of you routs a thousand, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as he promised. So be very careful to love the LORD your God." (v.10-11)
It made me think of the game Dynasty Warriors... a man worth a thousand men. It seems like an impossible standard to achieve, but I guess God can really do that with people who are faithful to Him.
