Psalm 69
This is one of my favorite psalms.
"Save me, O God,
for the waters have come up to my neck.
I sink in the miry depths,
where there is no foothold
I have come into the deep waters';
the floods engulf me.
I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
looking for my God."
David, even "a man's after God's own heart", sometimes need to cry out to God. He went through a lot of different things before he was king and while he was king, and the psalms he wrote to express his feelings still resonate with me today.
